Get onboard mid Cheshire steam train
THE Cheshire Gardens Express will be weaving its way through Cheshire countryside to celebrate 40 years since the passing of the steam train on the mid Cheshire Line.
The steam locomotive - which will be calling at stations between Altrincham, Chester and Crewe on May 4- will give families the chance to experience the former glory of steam together.
The Middlewich branch between Crewe and Altrincham has been closed to regular steam trains since 1968.
Mark Willcox, community rail officer said: "The steam train is our very own Hogwarts Express for the day."

The press release isseued to The Messenger included the website details but for some reason this has not been included in the article.
